‘Too Much Pussy Can Be a Bad Thing’

Victoria Scone, the first cisgender woman drag queen to compete in a RuPaul’s Drag Race series – having appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. the World – has joined PETA’s spay/neuter campaign.

Surrounding herself with frisky felines, she’s reminding animal guardians to “get that kitty fixed”.

Magnus Hastings

“I never thought I’d say this, but too much pussy can be a bad thing. Cats can start reproducing at just 4 months old and have three litters of kittens in just one year. I’m happy to join my friends at PETA to remind everyone that the suffering and deaths of homeless cats is 100% preventable through spaying or neutering your kitty girl or boy.”

‘Too Much Pussy Can Be a Bad Thing’

Every year, hundreds of thousands of dogs and cats end up in animal shelters, and many of them have to be euthanised simply because there aren’t enough suitable homes for them.

The Importance of Spaying and Neutering

The solution to the homeless-animal crisis is prevention through spaying and neutering.

Without spaying, one female cat and her offspring can produce a staggering 370,000 kittens in just seven years, while one female dog and her offspring can produce up to 67,000 puppies in just six years.

Sterilising one animal prevents hundreds of thousands more from suffering on the streets or being euthanised in shelters.

Adopt! Don’t Shop

Buying from breeders, pet shops, or online retailers contributes to the homeless-animal overpopulation crisis. If you’re looking to welcome an animal companion into your home, please adopt a desperate cat or dog from your local shelter.
