Norfolk, Virginia – Besties, the tea is piping hot: Just So You Know, a new lifestyle podcast hosted by two fierce and funny New Yorkers—activist Jamie Logan and actor Justina Adorno—just launched and is pulling back the curtain on headline-grabbing issues and delving into the deep and dirty secrets that big businesses would rather keep under wraps.
With the aim of uncovering what eco-conscious Gen Zers—73% of whom identify as animal rights activists—really want to know, Jamie and Justina seek to understand the industries ingrained in our daily lives that affect animals and the planet, exploring everything from the plastic pollution of the leather trade to the monkey labor in Whole Foods’ supply chain and Elon Musk’s Neuralink experiments on pigs (the subject of the first episode, available here). As Jamie explains at the top of the “Elon” episode, “We’re bringing to light subjects that a lot of people don’t tend to know.”
“Jamie and Justina tackle today’s hot topics with such refreshing honesty that it almost feels like a group chat with your closest friends,” says PETA Senior Vice President Colleen O’Brien. “PETA is delighted to spotlight these clever, kind, and talented women and encourages everyone to join them as they explore the unfiltered truth behind corporations that exploit animals.”
Jamie is an activist and a filmmaker who recently crashed the Coach runway during New York Fashion Week to protest the company’s use of leather, and Justina is known for her roles in Mayans M.C. with Edward James Olmos and Clayton Cardenas, Seven Seconds with Regina King, and Grand Hotel with executive producer Eva Longoria.
PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to abuse in any way”—points out that Every Animal Is Someone and offers free Empathy Kits for people who need a lesson in kindness.
