Struggling Stray Dogs And Cats Now Have Full Bellies Thanks To Your Help!

When you buy products from the iHeartDogs store, part of that profit goes to Greater Good Charities, an organization that’s known for helping animals in need. Greater Good Charities’ GOODS Program provides food and other essential supplies to animal shelters and rescues. Those donations have saved the lives of many dogs and cats, especially those who are strays in need of love and support.

Gleaning for the World in Concord, VA, is one of the many organizations that has received donations from the GOODS Program. They provide support for many causes, one of which is helping pets in need. One of the ways they help pets is by supporting Halifax Dog Squad’s care for stray dogs and cats.

Despite the name, Halifax Dog Squad is willing to help more than just dogs. The organization assists any animals that need help in the community, which usually consists of rescue dogs and stray cats. Sadly, many of the stray animals they find have been abandoned by humans, so they’re friendly, but in desperate need of love and care.

With enough support, Halifax Dog Squad can take some animals in need into foster care. At the very least, the organization provides food and medical needs to stray animals. Thus, homeless animals in the community no longer have to starve.

Greater Good Makes These Meals Possible

Because of donations from the GOODS Program, Gleaning for the World can help more animals than ever. Many dogs and cats now have warm homes to stay in with plenty of healthy meals while they await adoption. Dianne, a community member, is helping out by fostering 20 cats that were abandoned. With the help of donations, Dianne is making sure the cats are spayed/neutered, fed, and comfortable.

“The ability to purchase this food means that Halifax Dog Squad can continue to help and support cats and dogs in their community,” Gleaning for the World wrote. “The food will be put out for local strays and given to volunteers like Dianne who foster as many cats as they can. Being able to get the food from the GOODS Program means that funds can be allocated to treat and spay and neuter the local populations.”

Every time you shop at the iHeartDogs store, you’re helping feed animals in need. So, thank you to all the heroes who have purchased products to make an impact!
